Helix, a standout piece from the Forma collection at TSAR Carpets, showcases my experimentation with the striae hand-tufting technique. Striving to explore the limits of textile design, I utilized undyed New Zealand wool to create a subtle ombre effect that gracefully transitions around the rug's playful, organic shape. This design was entirely conceived and executed using Adobe Illustrator to create precise vector graphics, ensuring meticulous control over the pattern and production process. This approach not only emphasizes sustainable material use but also highlights the intricate possibilities of modern rug-making with a focus on precision and environmental responsibility.
